Iris-sanne van der Aar (Hardenberg, 1995) Is a Dutch portrait photographer and director who loves theatrical storytelling through the use of lighting, props and costumes. There are infinite ways of presenting ones self, as seen in the self portrait project VESSEL, and every story has multiple different sides, like in the multimedia project A Peculiar Day with which she graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
Besides creating new realities in her photo and film work she loves Dungeon & Dragons, psychology, baking and medical tv dramas. and her cat Moos.
